Creating a happy environment where excellence is the norm - Little Meadows was established to create a happy environment where excellence is the norm and children develop to their full potential.  The daily routine is set up in such a way that the children should learn through play and so a wide

variety of activities are available to enable the children to develop mentally and physically as well as learning how to integrate socially.  We place great emphasis on social skills, with discipline and courtesy treated as standard by both adults and children.  Our aim is that the children should respect others as well as themselves with play situations offering ample opportunity for sharing, turn taking etc.

Our Nursery aims to provide the best care and attention for all the children.  We believe in treating children as individuals as well as catering for all their needs.

The Daily Routine - Children are happiest in a secure environment. Therefore we follow a regular daily routine with meals and breaks for snacks at the same time each day.  Thus the day is broken up into sessions during which there will be a number of different play activities available aimed to develop pre-number and pre-reading skills as well as other areas of the curriculum. All areas of learning are planned for using birth to 5 early years foundation stage, where children’s learning is at the heart of our understanding.

Our Aims & Objectives - Our aim is to provide a safe, secure environment where children can develop their full potential.  We believe that children should learn through play and great emphasis is placed on social skills. We use the Birth to Five matters framework which has been developed to support practitioners working within children from birth to 3.  We take as our focus “The Child”, we also use the foundation stage frame work for the children of the relevant age.
